What Do We Collect and Why?

You may browse our site without providing us any information that is identifiable for you.

Registration and Application Forms

Application forms on our site require you to give us your contact information (i.e., name, address and e-mail address), financial information (i.e., investor profile, investment information), and demographic information (i.e., zip code and state). We use this information from the registration application forms to create the documentation for you to review and approve that establishes you as an investment advisory client of The Retirement Corporation of America, opens an account in your name with our third-party custodian, transfers your assets from their current location to our third-party custodian, and to send you information about our company at your request. Your contact information is also used to contact you when necessary for additional information or to process or fulfill your request. Demographic and profile data may also be collected. We use this data to help us improve this website and our product and service offerings.

Sharing with Third Parties

In the unlikely event that The Retirement Corporation of America, or substantially all of its assets, are acquired or merged with another company, customer information will be one of the transferred assets.

We also release account and other personal information when we believe release is appropriate to comply with law or to protect the rights, property, or safety of The Retirement Corporation of America, our users, or others. This includes exchanging information with other companies and organizations for fraud protection and credit risk reduction. We do not share, sell, trade, or rent your personal information to third parties for purposes that have not been agreed to by us.

The information provided includes: name, address, gender, product(s) purchased and recency of purchase. Information collected on this website from those who have elected to receive offers from business partners of The Retirement Corporation of America is made available to such business partners.

Information from Other Sources

For reasons such as improving personalization of our service (i.e., providing better product recommendations or special offers that we think will interest you), we might receive information about you from other sources and add it to our account information. We also sometimes receive updated delivery and address information from our shippers or other sources so that we can correct our records and communicate more easily.

IP Address

We use your IP address and other standard log file information to help diagnose problems with our server, and to administer our website. Your IP address and other standard log information are used to help identify you and your shopping cart and to gather broad demographic information in the interest of improving our site and service.

RCA Customer Privacy and Security

RCA maintains physical, electronic, and procedural safeguards that comply with federal standards to protect its clients' nonpublic personal information ("information"). Through this policy and its underlying procedures, RCA attempts to secure the confidentiality of customer records and information and protect against anticipated threats or hazards to the security or integrity of customer records and information.

It is the policy of RCA to restrict access to all current and former clients' information (i.e., information and records pertaining to personal background, investment objectives, financial situation, tax information/returns, investment holdings, account numbers, account balances, etc.) to those employees and affiliated/nonaffiliated entities who need to know that information in order to provide products or services to the client. RCA may disclose the client's information if RCA is: (1) previously authorized to disclose the information to individuals and/or entities not affiliated with RCA, including, but not limited to the client's other professional advisors and/or service providers (i.e., attorney, accountant, insurance agent, broker-dealer, investment adviser, account custodian, etc.); (2) required to do so by judicial or regulatory process; or (3) otherwise permitted to do so in accordance with the parameters of applicable federal and/or state privacy regulations. The disclosure of information contained in any document completed by the client for processing and/or transmittal by RCA in order to facilitate the commencement/continuation/ter-mination of a business relationship between the client and a nonaffiliated third party service provider (i.e., broker-dealer, investment adviser, account custodian, insurance company, etc.), including information contained in any document completed and/or executed by the client for RCA (i.e., advisory agreement, client information form, etc.), shall be deemed as having been automatically authorized by the client with respect to the corresponding nonaffiliated third party service provider.

RCA permits only authorized employees and affiliates who have signed a copy of RCA's Privacy Policy to have access to client information. Employees violating RCA's Privacy Policy will be subject to RCA's disciplinary process. Additionally, whenever RCA hires other organizations to provide services to RCA's clients, RCA will require them to sign confidentiality agreements and/or the Privacy Policy.

Should you have any questions regarding the above, please contact Daniel C. Kiley, at the RCA office.
